Utah Wildlife and Bird Watching

Each of Utah’s National parks and Monuments offer excellent wildlife and bird watching, even our own Parowan front, which stretches from the town of Parowan south to Cedar City, is a great area for observing local wildlife.

Utah’s diverse climate zones and terrain provides a unique opportunity to observe a variety of mammals, birds, fishes and reptiles that make their homes here. There are birds abounding from the bald and golden eagles to the many types of hawks, falcons and owls, swans, geese, ducks, herons and egrets in our flyways. The local finches, wild turkeys, flycatchers and swallows, hummingbirds, mockingbirds and woodpeckers, to the kit foxes, coyotes, badgers and blacktail jackrabbits, mule deer and elk are all around us for our enjoyment.
